Journalists needed for football competition (SFCSH02)

We are currently having issues with applications. Please email your application to with the project code and why you would be a good fit for the project.

After a successful launch in 2017 of their summer youth cup, Southampton FC are again partnering with Solent Creatives to cover the event.

The 2017 tournament saw over 40 teams from around the world compete, including top professional academies from FC Porto, Chelsea FC, GNK Dinamo Zagreb and Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña as well as the Kenyan National Under-14 Boys Team.

The client is looking for a team of journalists to report on the tournament between 31st July and 4th August. There will be a range of boys and girls teams from different countries at different levels and you will need to get interviews with players, coaches and organisers.
There will be 2 venues to cover on each day and a daily rota will be picked closer to the time.

This is an unpaid opportunity but a fantastic way of getting a well established football club on your portfolio. The Saints are also offering a press pass to give you the opportunity to report on a real game at St Mary’s in the press box.

We will also have filmmakers and photographers attending from Solent Creatives.

To apply, click the button to the right by the application deadline.

Please include links to examples of your work in your application.
